Known as a ‘power couple’, Kohli and Anushka do not shy away from expressing their admiration for each other. In a recent interview, Kohli talked about the sacrifices Anushka has made as a mother in the last two years. “The way things have been in the past two years, we have had our child, and, as a mother, the sacrifices that she made have been massive.

Looking at her, I realized whatever problems I had were nothing. As far as expectations are concerned, as long as your family loves you for who you are, you don’t expect much because that is the basic requirement,” Kohli said in the recent Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) podcast.

Coming back to matches, Kohli did show a bit of his vintage self. He did contribute runs but Australian spinners continued to haunt him. Aussie youngster Todd Murphy trapped the 34-year-old three times, while leg spinner Matthew Kuhnemann made him his victim two times.

Though Kohli ended his century draught in white-ball cricket, he is yet to score his first century since his 136 against Bangladesh in November 2019. He registered scores of 12, 44, 20, 22, and 13 in the three matches. Whether he will play a huge innings will be seen in the next Test, starting March 9 in Ahmedabad.
