Former Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper Virat Kohli thinks the West Indian legend, Sir Vivian Richards, would have bossed the Indian Premier League (IPL) had he played in the tournament. Kohli has often talked about his admiration for Richards and called him and Sachin Tendulkar the greatest of all time.

He once again did the same through his Instagram Story by uploading a video where Richards can be seen talking about his love for T20 cricket. Kohli shared the video with the caption: “The real boss“.

“I would have loved that [playing in franchise-based T20 competitions]. I think it would have been too powerful with the bats today,” Richards gave his views on T20 cricket. The screenshot of Kohli’s Story has been doing rounds on social media platforms.

Viv Richards was known for his aggressive batting in the 1970s and 80s. Considered to be the most devastating batsman of all time, the 71-year-old has played 121 Test matches, amassing 8540 runs at an average of 50.23. In ODIs, he has collected 6721 runs from 187 matches.

Virat Kohli on the other hand, is one of the finest batsmen of contemporary cricket and is a modern-day legend. He has mesmerised fans from all corners of the world with his consistent performance in all formats of the game.

In 108 Tests, the former India captain aggregated 9416 runs, while in 274 ODIs, he has 12898 runs. In the shortest format of the game, he stands atop with 4008 runs from 115 matches. The 34-year-old is currently playing in the IPL for the Royal Challengers Bangalore. He will be next seen in action during RCB’s match against Delhi Capitals on May 6.
