Piling up runs and competing in three-format international cricket requires fitness and discipline, and Virat Kohli knows how to ace this. He is known for following a strict diet and fitness routine, which helps him be at his best on and off the field.

He was once a chubby guy who loved eating chhola bhaturas, butter chicken, and desserts, but now, his routine screams fitness goals; people look at him for fitness tips and motivation. He wants to play the best cricket even when he’s 34-35. As he turned 34 two days ago (November 5), in a fun chat on #CricketLIVE, he revealed how his weight has been constant for the last eight years.

Height, I think I am 5’11”. I’m not sure. Weight is 74.5 to 75 kg for the last eight years,” he answered. His devotion to his fitness routine has done him a good job because as a 34-year-old, he is still amassing runs and still breaking records.

But he hasn’t discarded desserts from his life. In that chat, he revealed he is eating the South African dessert Malva pudding regularly, and that his favorite desi dessert is Gajar ka Halwa

The 2011 World Cup champion also stated that he doesn’t consider himself the GOAT (Greatest of All Time) of cricket, “For me, only two people qualify for that- Sachin Tendulkar and Sir Vivian Richards.”

After scoring heaps of runs in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022, Virat Kohli surpassed Sri Lanka legend Mahela Jayawardene to become the highest run-scorer in T20 World Cups. He is India’s most successful Test captain with 40 victories from 68 matches.

He is also the sixth-highest run-scorer in international cricket and has amassed 24350 runs from 477 matches. The Delhi-born cricketer is just behind the legendary Sachin Tendulkar in terms of international centuries (100 tons).

Kohli shares the second spot with Australian great Ricky Ponting with 71 international hundreds. Not just this, but he also tops the list of most T20I runs (3932) from 105 innings.
