Yuzvendra Chahal and Ronaldinho
India leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has shared a photo with the legendary footballer Ronaldinho on Wednesday, September 14 on his official Instagram handle. The Brazilian legend retired from the sport in January 2018.
On his Instagram post, he wrote: “Was great bumping into the magician #jogabonito”. (Joga Bonito is the Portuguese term for ‘The Beautiful Game.” Check his post below:
Chahal was recently seen in action in Asia Cup 2022 in UAE. He didn’t have a great game in that tournament nor did India as they ended up winning only one match of the three in the Super 4 stage, and that ended their campaign.

“Yuzvendra Chahal is the only legit wicket-taking option”- Aakash Chopra on India’s T20 World Cup squad
Cricket commentator Aakash Chopra made a statement where he praised Yuzvendra Chahal, calling him “the only legit wicket-taking option” in T20 cricket. He was doing review of the squad for India’s T20 World Cup squad, believes that even though the squad has an offspinner, legspinner and a left-arm spinner, he picked up Chahal as the wicket-taking option and called other spinners “defensive options” based on their recent records.
“You have picked three spinners – an offspinner, a legspinner and a left-arm spinner. So you have picked different-different options but Yuzi Chahal is the only legit wicket-taking option in T20 cricket,” Chopra said on his YouTube channel.
“The others are defensive options – make no mistake, that is the truth. You can see the numbers for the last 12 months, IPL included for both of them – Axar and Ravichandran Ashwin,” he added.
He also expressed his disappointment for ignoring Kuldeep Yadav and Ravi Bishnoi as they are the ‘tempting option’ available but both of them aren’t included in the squad.
“Ravi Bishnoi was a tempting option available to you. You are not thinking about Kuldeep at all, which is slightly disappointing, but he could also have been a wicket-taking option. But you didn’t think about either of them.
