Wasim Akram teaches how to pronounce “Fakhar,” recounts funny story

Akram then proceeded to narrate the story of how his wife struggled to pronounce the same name. Shaniera Akram, who is Australian by birth, visited Pakistan for the first time. His son had brought a friend, called Fakhar, to meet her. She struggled pronouncing his name due to her accent, and took years to get used to it.

The trio of commentators were then made to listen to an audio of former Australian cricketer, Mark Waugh, trying to pronounce “Fakhar”. The clip dated back to 2018, when Australia and Pakistan met for a 2-match Test series. Waugh attempted to say Fakhar, but accidently said “F**ker,” which led to laughter.
