Me, my wife, Dinesh Karthik, and his wife, Dhoni, we used to sit on the seats which were behind. Dhoni used to talk to my wife quite a lot. He used to say that he aims to make Rs 30 lakh, so he could spend the rest of his life very peacefully in Ranchi. He didn’t want to leave Ranchi also,” Jaffer told Sportskeeda. “I remember he said to my wife, ‘Bhabhi, mujhe 30 lakh rupay banane hain’ [I want to earn Rs 30 lakh].

Jaffer praised Dhoni’s process, calmness, and approach to things and perspective. The Punjab Kings (PBKS) then said he likes Dhoni’s simplicity and humility. These are some of the things one often hears when one talks about that charismatic leader.

Meanwhile, Dhoni retired from international cricket in 2020 but continues to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL). In the 16th edition of the cash-rich league, Dhoni led his side to five trophies and equaled the tally with Mumbai Indians (MI).
