The incident happened on the first ball of the 67th over of Bangladesh’s innings. Despite their fall of wickets at regular intervals, Das and Taskin Ahmed stayed glued to the crease to stabilize the innings. But Siraj came in and broke the partnership. He delivered it on the good length which Das attempted to defend it. The ball hit the inside edge and went on to rattle the stumps. As Das started walking back to the pavilion, Siraj put his finger on his lips to give an aggressive send-off.

In the first Test in Chattogram, Litton Das and Mohammed Siraj were involved in a heated exchange. Siraj started it by saying something to the Bangladeshi batter in his follow-through. Das, instead of letting it go, gestured toward Siraj by bringing his hands over his ears as if he didn’t hear anything.

In his next delivery, Siraj kept it a tad low which then hit the bottom edge of Das’ bat and rattled into the stumps. Virat Kohli, who was standing in the slips, copied Das’ hand-in-ears gesture to give a send-off to him. Siraj saw Kohli and emulated his gesture.
