In every sport, that is competitive, something happenes funny and that makes the fans laugh. Like fielders losing their trousers, comedy-or-errors. That same sort of incident happened in village cricket in the United Kingdon. We all now that a batter is required to wear all the necessary kit before entering on the field to bat.

A batter has to face top quality fast bowlers during the game. They are supposed to wear shoes, helmet, guard, gloves, pads, thigh pads, arm guard and so on. We rarely see a batsman not wearing the protecting things while coming out to bat.

One of the batters came out to bat without wearing pads. But the moment he realised that after the opposition fielders brought it to his attention, he was seen running back to the dugout. The opposition players and the umpire could be seen laughing at that moment. The scoreboard read 29/3 in 4.3 overs. The bowler identified as Matt Mohan, and he had taken two wickets in three balls before that batter walked out to bat.

At the same time, the umpire could also be seen talking on a phone as Martin was taking a batting guard. He was handing the ball to the bowler while doing that and confirming the batter of his middle-stump guard. The wicket-keeper was heard telling him, “You’re not earing pads, mate!”

That batter in the video is Martin Huges who plays for Southend Civic Cricket Club. You can watch the video below which is shared by That’s so Village in their official Twitter handle.
