During the first ODI match between India and Australia at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali on Friday (September 22), Cameron Green had to take a long walk back to the dugout after he got involved in a mix-up with Josh Inglis. India’s Suryakumar Yadav displayed a great presence of mind amid the confusion to remove the bails from the stumps.

Green became the fifth batter to walk back to the dressing room after the third ball of the 40th over. He got an edge and the ball traveled toward keeper KL Rahul who failed to collect it.

As the balls started going toward the fine deep third, Green, who completed his one run, went for another, but Inglis did not run. Shreyas Iyer collected the ball and threw it at the non-striker’s end. Before Green could make it to the other end, Suryakumar quickly flicked the ball onto the stumps.

Australia reached a decent 276 in 50 overs. Apart from David Warner, no other Aussie batters would score their half-centuries. Warner top scored with a 53-ball 52 runs, while Josh Inglis slammed 45 runs from 45 balls.
