New Zealand wicketkeeper Devon Conway produced a special effort to save some runs when his team locked horns with Pakistan on October 8 in the on-going tri-series involving the Bangladeshi team also. However, that crazy effort didn’t help much the Black Caps as Pakistan chased down the target of 148.

New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson won the toss and opted to bat first. Conway scored a crucial 36 runs off 25 balls, while Mark Chapman ‘s cameo of 32 runs off 16 balls helped New Zealand put on 147/8 in their allotted 20 overs.

Pakistan skipper Babar Azam‘s unbeaten knock of 79 runs off 53 propelled his team to chase down the target comfortably. Despite Men in Green’s slow start, Azam and Shadab Khan stitched a 61-run stand for the third wicket with Shadab adding 34 runs off 22 balls.

When Shadab Khan played a scoop shot off Tim Southee‘s over, the ball flew over Devon Conway’s head. Conway’s chased the ball till it almost reached the boundary ropes. He used his football skills, slid and kicked the ball to stop it from touching the ropes, and in the process saved two runs. Ish Sodhi was also running towards the ball, and as Conway kicked the ball away from the boundary ropes, Sodhi collected it and threw it back.
