Virat Kohli

Cricket fans were awaiting to see something from Virat Kohli and they were quite impressed when he smashed 20 off 14 balls smoothly with two fours and a six.

However, yet again that wretched ball came in to cut short his innings. It was a ball from Kagiso Rabada. Rabada had bowled a short length delivery and Kohli tried for a one-legged pull. But the ball brushed the glove and went to Rahul Chahar after touching his thigh pad at short fine. Chahar then grabbed it to give a full stop to Virat Kohli’s innings.

He was all angry when he walked back off the field with yelling while looking up in what appeared to be, “What else do you want me to do?”

However, notwithstanding the poor form, Virat Kohli reached another milestone. He may be not in his best form, but the records keep coming in for the legend which happened in this match against the PBKS. He became the first batsman to reach 6500-run milestone. Shikhar Dhawan is just behind him with 6186 runs.

“What can you tell him? He has got 70 international hundred. There is no advice to give him. Luck needs to change,” said Sunil Gavaskar to Star Sports in the pre-match show.

“Apart from the opposition every other person wants to see him score runs. There are very few more attractive players in the game than Kohli in the game. When he gets going, the cut shots, the pull shots, the drives, everything is brilliant. It’s a matter of luck just going his way.

“The other day, he played uppishly and it went straight to the fielder. On another day, the fielder could have been 5 yards to the left or right, it could have been a boundary. When luck is not going his way, your first mistake will get you out. Just hope puck runs his way and then he will be back among scoring the big runs,” added the legendary cricketer.
