Hardik Pandya is currently out of any cricketing action because he has been recuperating from an injury he sustained during the 2023 ODI World Cup. He is expected to be back on the cricket field for the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL). He is working hard on his body to make a comeback.

Fans on social media have come across a clip where Pandya can be heard scolding a man who served him Jalebi, Fafda, and other traditional Gujarati delicacies. Pandya asked how he could eat such food items despite being an athlete. The clip is from an IPL ad shoot.

What is this? How can I eat Jalebi, Dhokla? What are all these things? Brother, we have to maintain our fitness. How could I do this? Who gives this food?
Pandya said

The person told Pandya to adjust, but the all-rounder said he just could not. When Pandya asked for his chef and nutritionist, the person told him they were late. Also, when the person insisted Pandya eat the food items, the latter said it would affect his stamina.

Brother, we can't adjust. Where's my chef and nutritionist? How can I eat this? How can I manage this? What is this? Tell the director, that this will not work! Brother eating this will ruin my stamina.

Fans lambast Hardik Pandya for the way he talked with the man

This video of Hardik Pandya screaming and throwing tantrums did not go down well with the fans. Some fans slammed him for talking arrogantly with someone over food. A fan said Pandya has the audacity to speak like this even though he spends most of the time outside the cricketing field due to injuries.

However, some believe the entire thing is scripted, that the clip is part of the ad shoot. Also, clips of Rishabh throwing tantrums over something during an ad shoot went viral.

If Pandya recovers completely before the IPL, he will lead the Mumbai Indians (MI) in IPL 2024.
