WATCH: Harsha Bhogle says it’s beneficial for RCB if Virat Kohli gets DISMISSED, later slams ‘clickbait journalism’

Virat Kohli, the former India captain, is one of those few cricketers who has adapted well after the introduction of T20 cricket and franchise cricket. When youngsters of today are leaving out one format to manage their workload or to focus on franchise cricket, Kohli’s work on his fitness has made him not just an all-format player, but a modern-day great.
Cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle has been at the receiving end of Kohli’s fans’ criticism because of his opinion on Kohli’s strike rate. Bhogle thinks that though Kohli is an all-format player, in T20Is, someone who bats at a high strike rate fits better than the 35-year-old.
And for this very opinion of his, he has to face intense trolling from the Kohli fans. A video of Bhogle at an event in Mumbai where he again talked about Kohli and T20 cricket went viral.
Bhogle talked about a situation where Kohli’s franchise, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) may sometimes wish to see Kohli getting dismissed so that a player with a better strike rate comes to bat.
Virat Kohli is a great example. Virat Kohli is playing Test cricket for India, and he isn't supposed to get out. Now, he goes to play for RCB, for India; beyond a certain point, it might actually have been the interest of the side for him to get out.Harsha Bhogle said during SHRM India Talent Leadership Summit & Expo 2024
How do you reconcile the fact that I am one of the greatest who has played the game, actually, at this stage, it's in the team's interest that I get out because the person who is coming in will probably hit 20 of 6 balls. Viral Kohli is an extreme example.Bhogle added
