WATCH: Irfan Pathan DANCES with Rashid Khan after Afghanistan’s historic win over Pakistan for the first time
Irfan Pathan left the Star Sports telecast and went to dance with Rashid Khan, who was taking a lap of the ground with his teammates.

On 23rd October, Pakistan were handed their 3rd defeat of the 2023 ICC ODI World Cup by neighbors Afghanistan. Batting first, Pakistan scored 283 on a tough pitch to bat on, but the Afghani team chased down the target with an over to spare. Thanks to 50s by Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Ibrahim Zadran and Rahmat Shah, Afghanistan won by 8 wickets.
After winning, the winning team decided to have a lap around the MA Chidambaram stadium and in the way passed the presenters of Star Sports who were analyzing the match. Irfan Pathan who was a part of these panelists left his post and started dancing with leg-spinner, Rashid Khan.
Later Irfan revealed why he had gone to dance with Rashid Khan on a twitter post. He posted the photos of him dancing with Rashid and captioned it, “Rashid Khan fulfilled his promise and I fulfilled mine,” He also congratulated the Afghanistan team for their historic win over Pakistan.
Irfan Pathan calls Abdullah Shafique the next big thing for Pakistan
After a string of poor performances and injuries, Fakhar Zaman was dropped from the Pakistan side for rising star Abdullah Shafique. So far in the 2023 ICC ODI World Cup, he has scored 255 runs in four innings averaging 63.75. On his World Cup debut he scored a century against Sri Lanka and in the next three innings he scored two half centuries.
Looking at his impressive performances in the World Cup, Irfan Pathan was impressed by the 23-year-old. He tweeted about the youngster while he was batting against Afghanistan. Shafique had scored a well made 58 runs until he was dismissed by Noor Ahmed. Pathan posted, “Abdullah shafique is a next big thing for team Pakistan. He is got proper technique to survive at this level.”
