India was locking-horns with England and the former had given a challenging total of 171 runs to the host on July 9 on Saturday, in the second T20I. But English batsman had put up a poor performance and avenged the loss they faced at Edgbaston in the fifth Test. The Indian bowlers are to praised for this.

Fans had high hoped to watch Liam Livingstone smash big hits but India team pacer Jasprit Bumrah surprised him with a perfect off-cutter. Livingstone was in disbelief when the ball went through his bat and pad to rattle the stumps.

Livingstone had struggled against the Indian bowlers. In the first T20I, all-rounder Hardik Pandya dismissed him caught behind and in the next T20I, Bumrah sent him back.

This happened in the fifth over, Livingstone had scored 15 runs off eight balls. When Bumrah came to bowl the second over of his spell, he bowled his first ball with a slower one on the outside off stump. Livingstone attempted to defend it but failed as the ball beat him to rattle the stumps.

In that same over when Jasprit Bumrah dimissed Livingstone, Harry Brook came out to bat in the middle but he took some time to settle down. He faced five deliveries and survived one LBW call. No runs were scored in that over. It was Bumrah’s ninth maiden over of his T20I career. Bumrah now holds the record of most maiden overs by a bowler in the history of T20I cricket.

Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar‘s spell helped India restrict England to just 120/9. When India was batting, the openers started well, but after a flurry of wickets, Ravindra Jadeja revived the innings with his 46 runs to help his team reach the target.
