Another incident was a bizarre one. It also involves a proteas pacer. Anrich Nortje, who was fielding at backward square got hit by a spider cam which knocked him down. He didn’t get a serious injury but did hurt his left shoulder.
Rabada scalped eight wickets in the first Test in Brisbane. But at the MCG, he didn’t have a great day. He got one wicket, of Usman Khawaja on Day 1 of the 2nd Test, but bagged nothing on Tuesday.

Nortje became the center of attention for another reason. After he was hit by a spider cam accidentally, he came back and had some fun with the MCG crowd. The crowd also copied Nortje when the pacer was stretching his arms.
After a while, when Nortje was near the boundary ropes after delivering his over, he was thirsty and so picked up a water bottle. The crowd behind him started to yell ‘chug, chug, chug…‘ in unison. Nortje obliged and finished the water bottle in one go.
But Day 2 belonged to David Warner, who returned to cricket in style in Test cricket. He ended his rough patch in the the longest format of the game, to slam an unbeaten double ton.
But, he injured himself while celebrating and had to head back to the dugout as retired hurt. Cameron Green also got retired hurt after scoring six runs.
But Green was the reason behind shattering South Africa’s innings with his five-wicket haul. His fifer helped his team bundle out the Proteas for just 189. Day 3 will resume from 386/3 with Travis Head (48*) and Alex Carey (9*).
