David Warner was well set against India during their World Cup fixture which was played in the MA Chidambaram Stadium. It was a tough pitch to bat on, as the spinners found plenty of support off the surface. Fortunately for India, Kuldeep Yadav came in clutch for India by dismissing the 36-year-old.
Kuldeep bowled a classic leg spinner delivery to dismiss the experienced opener. He pitched the ball on the full length and turning away. Warner went to play it past Kuldeep, but he managed to hit the ball with the toe of his bat. What was supposed to be an easy single for Warner turned into an easy catch for Kuldeep Yadav.
Kuldeep Yadav broke a threatening partnership between David Warner and Steve Smith. After dismissing Warner, Australia lost Smith, Marnus Labuschagne and Alex Carey for a duck. Ravindra Jadeja dismissed the trio in the space of 9 balls and got Australia in a tough situation in the match.
Glenn Maxwell and Cameron Green are currently in the middle for Australia and are trying to set up a competitive total for India to chase. Unfortunately their attempt was then thwarted by Kuldeep Yadav. Ravichandran Ashwin also picked up the wicket of Cameron Green.
Kuldeep Yadav reveals how he changed his bowling technique
After a rough patch in 2021, Kuldeep Yadav lost his spot in the ODI team. He worked on his technique and found his place back in the team. Kuldeep Yadav currently is one of the key starters of the Indian Cricket Team.

Talking to Fox Cricket he said, “I worked on making my rhythm faster, bowled it in a practice game in Kanpur and found that the batsmen found it difficult, Then I returned to the Indian team for the tour of the West Indies but couldn‘t find my rhythm. Even in the IPL, my rhythm was breaking. It took about six to seven months for it to work.”
In 2023 Kuldeep Yadav picked up 35 wickets in 18 matches at an average of 16.31, including his appearance against Australia. This includes a fifer against Pakistan in the 2023 Asia Cup.
