MS Dhoni needs no introduction because his accolades in his cricketing career speak for themselves. The 42-year-old is now gearing up for the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) and is set to become the oldest player in the upcoming season.
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have won five titles, making them the most successful franchise alongside Mumbai Indians (MI). On the other hand, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has yet to taste success. They are one of those franchises that have played since the inception of the IPL in 2008 but never got the opportunity to hold the trophy.
During a recent event, an RCB fan asked Dhoni to support RCB and help them win their first IPL trophy. Captain Cool, however, did not give a straight answer. He called RCB a good team and talked about the consequences if he supported another team.
You know. They are a very good team. Also, what you need to see is that everything does not go according to plan. All 10 teams in the IPL, if they have full players, are very strong teams. The problem arises if you are missing a few players due to injury. So, they are a very good team, and everyone has a fair chance in the IPL.Dhoni said in an event
He added:
As of now, I have so many things to worry about on my team. I would like to wish every team all the best, but I can't do much as of now. Imagine me coming out of the way to support or help another team. How would our fans feel? How would you feel?
