Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni, is calm and cool from the outside but that doesn’t mean he misses the chance to pull his teammates’ legs. And it seems he is searching for opportunities to hit star pacer Deepak Chahar. During CSK’s match against Delhi Capitals (DC) on Wednesday (May 10) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, Dhoni almost slapped Chahar before the start of the match.

Chahar was talking with a teammate on the ground. Dhoni, who was coming toward them, stopped for a while beside Chahar, lifted his hand to slap him- who dodged in time- and went on walking. Chahar burst into laughter after this. The video took no time to go viral on social media and drew hilarious reactions.

This is not the first time a video of Dhoni hitting Chahar went viral. During a match between CSK and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Dhoni was shadow-practicing in the dugout and Chahar was sitting there. As he swung his bat, it almost hit the star pacer, who went up and moved away.

Talking about the match, MS Dhoni won the toss and opted to bat first. “We will bat first. We have played a few games on this wicket. There are chances of this wicket slowing down. We can’t complain about this track. We try to keep it simple. We try to keep reiterating the same thing. Try to accomplish your plan. Try to execute your plans. We have one change. [Ambati] Rayudu comes in for Dube,” Dhoni said during the toss.

CSK are standing in second position on the points table with six wins from 11 matches.
