Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni has been in great form in the ongoing 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Despite being out of cricketing action for almost a year, Dhoni has shown his sublime firm during CSK’s matches.

Though fans are enjoying Dhoni’s hitting and his dominating performance this season, an incident surrounding Dhoni’s batting has been going viral on the internet. In a video uploaded by a fan on Twitter, Dhoni can be seen shadow-practicing in the CSK dugout before coming out to bat against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

The hilarious thing about this video is Deepak Chahar’s reaction. Chahar was sitting in the dugout and the moment Dhoni swung his bat, it almost hit Chahar’s head. Chahar then got up and walked away.

Deepak Chahar injured his hamstring during a match last week and hasn’t played against RCB. CSK haven’t issued an official statement regarding the same so the extent of his injury is not known yet. He has been battling injuries for over a year now and missed major matches last year as well as this year.

CSK secured an eight-run victory after restricting RCB to 218 runs after surviving Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell‘s scare. After the match, the legendary Sunil Gavaskar heaped praise on Dhoni for his captaincy.

“Players don’t feel pressure when MS Dhoni is leading the side. He’s utterly cool and that helps. He stays in the moment and never gets carried away. Yes, he gives them some stares once they drop catches or miss the field but he never puts them under pressure. That is the reason why CSK manage to brave crunch situations more often than not,” Gavaskar told Star Sports.
