But their wickets saw RCB fumbling and eventually losing the match. While du Plessis played a blazing knock of 62 runs from 33 balls with five fours and four maximums at a strike rate of 187.88, Maxwell batted at a massive strike rate of 211.1, scoring 76 runs from just 36 balls.

When du Plessis and Maxwell were sent to the dugout, Shahbaz Ahmed added 12, Dinesh Karthik scored 28, and Impact Player Matheesha Pathirana scored 19. But these runs weren’t enough for the host to win the match. as CSK restricted them to 218/8 in the 20 overs.

Earlier, Devon Conway’s 83 off 45, Ajinkya Rahane’s 37 off 20, Shivam Dube’s 52 off 27, and Moeen Ali’s cameo of 19 off nine balls drove the visitors to 226/6. CSK will face Sunrisers Hyderabad on Friday (April 21), while RCB will lock horns with Punjab Kings on Thursday (April 20).
