Rinku Singh grabbed headlines again, not for his power-packed performance in the death overs, but for his gesture for former Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli. After Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) 21-run win over RCB at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Wednesday (April 26), a picture went viral in which Rinku could be seen touching Kohli’s feet as a mark of respect for the talismanic batsman.
The picture was taken after the end of the match, when the members of both teams came out for the traditional handshakes. When Rinku approached Kohli, as per several social media pictures, he touched Kohli’s feet and later, the 34-year-old hugged the KKR batsman. However, it’s important to say that the authenticity of the video cannot be verified.

In that match, KKR posted 200 where Rinku’s contribution was 18 runs from 10 balls, which also had two boundaries and a six. During RCB’s run chase, though Kohli scored his half-century, and Mahipal Lomror also added 34 from 18 balls, RCB fell short of 21 runs after being restricted to 179/8.

Kohli was left stunned after witnessing Rinku Singh’s madness in the last over against Gujarat Titans (GT). Rinku smashed give consecutive sixes off Yash Dayal’s deliveries to snatch victory from the defending champions while chasing a 200-plus target.
After the match, Kohli heaped praise on the 25-year-old batsman for doing amazing things in Indian Premier League (IPL).
