After clinching the Road Safety World Series 2022 trophy for the second time, Suresh Raina got a bat autographed by India Legends skipper Sachin Tendulkar. Tendulkar even penned a message for Raina on the bat.

After the match, India Legends celebrated their victory by clicking pictures with the trophy. Raina shared the video on his social media platforms with the caption: “With the God of cricket @sachintendulkar. An inspiration to not only me but millions across the world! Love and respect always Paaji. #sachintendulkar #blessed #gratitue.”

Both Raina and Tendulkar were part of the World Cup team that lifted the trophy in 2011 at home.

While Raina couldn’t produce much in that match, his flying catch in the semi-final became a talk of the town. He recently announced his retirement from all forms of competitive cricket including IPL. He is reportedly set to play in the overseas T20 Leagues.

Talking about the final match, which India Legends played against Sri Lanka Legends, the former batted first and put on a huge total of 195/5 in their 20 overs at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur on Saturday, October 1.

Opener Naman Ojha was the star of the match with his terrific performance with his blade. He was adjudged the Player of the Match for his unbeaten 108 runs off 71 balls. Suresh Raina was dismissed for four while Sachin Tendulkar walked back after a golden duck. Ojha and Vinay added 90 runs for the third wicket.

Sri Lanka Legends were bowled out on 162 in 18.5 overs and won the match by 33 runs. India’s Vinay Kumar grabbed three wickets, while Abhimanyu Mithun scalped two wickets.
