Shah Rukh Khan set the stage on fire with his performance in the opening ceremony of the 2024 Women’s Premier League (WPL) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Friday (February 23). After grooving to ‘Jhoome Jo Pathan’ from Pathan and ‘Not Ramaiya Vatsavaya’ from Jawan, SRK was asked by Smriti Mandhana to do his trademark pose from the classic Bollywood movie Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.

Khan owns the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He also owns Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL), Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in International League T20, and Los Angeles Knight Riders in Major League Cricket. The Chennai Express actor explained the reason behind not buying any team in the WPL.

People ask me why I didn’t buy a team in the WPL. Actually, if I had a team in this league, I would have to love 22 players. Right now, all the franchises have a combined strength of 150 players, and they all are mine. I love them. It is time for the queens of cricket to take center stage, and they will entertain you for a month. So let’s salute them for their talent.
