MS Dhoni, Sunil Gavaskar
Legendary India cricketer Sunil Gavaskar got emotional on live TV while talking about meeting MS Dhoni and getting a signed shirt from him after Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) final match at their home ground against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
It was a special moment for the CSK crowd when Dhoni threw the tennis balls toward them to thank them for their constant support. However, it wasn’t just the crowd who got emotional. Sunil Gavaskar, who was part of the post-match presentation show, approached the CSK captain and got his shirt signed by Dhoni. In a video uploaded by Star Sport’s social media handle, Gavaskar showed his shirt on live TV and reiterated his admiration for the former India skipper.
“So, I went to Mahi and requested him to sign an autograph on the shirt that I was wearing. It was so nice of him to acknowledge it. It was a very emotional moment for me because this fellow has made immense contributions to Indian Cricket,” a teary-eyed Gavaskar said on Star Sports.
“I know, I have the last few moments left in my life so before I die, if I get two minutes, I would revisit two great moments. Kapil Dev lifting the 1983 World Cup Trophy and MS Dhoni hitting that winning six in the 2011 World Cup final and how he rolls his wrists with the bat. If I see those two moments, I will die peacefully,” he added.

MS Dhoni and Co. will be hoping to book playoffs berth in final league match

Had CSK won the match against KKR, they would have qualified for the playoffs. But after putting on 144/6, they couldn’t stop the visitors from reaching that target.
The Yellow Jersey will be hoping to secure their playoffs berth when they will lock horns with Delhi Capitals on Saturday (May 20).
