Umran Malik's 151 km/h thunderbolt shatters Bangladesh batter's off stump
Umran Malik‘s aggressive deliveries were on full display in the second ODI against Bangladesh. His pace quite disturbed the Bangladeshi batters, even his first over had gone for a maiden over. And as India are playing in the must-win match on Wednesday (December 7), Malik was included as a replacement for Mohammad Shami who was ruled out due to a shoulder injury.
After disturbing all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan with his short-pace deliveries in his first over, Malik’s 151 km/h delivery shattered Najmul Hossain Shanto’s off stump for a cartwheel. Shanto expected a similar Umran Malik bouncer to him, but the latter pitched on a length. Shanto was late in bringing his bat, and as a result, the ball cleaned up his off stump.
Watch the video below:
In his first over, Shakib couldn’t play Malik’s pacy delivery. He was first hit on the shoulder by Malik’s bouncer, then he was hit on the helmet off a short-pitched delivery.

Umran Malik wasn’t a part of India’s ODI squad for Bangladesh

Umran Malik was not included in the first ODI as a replacement for Mohammed Shami. Kuldeep Sen earned his India cap and played in the first ODI, but he was also ruled out due to a stiff neck. So, the Jammu and Kashmir player was drafted into the XI in the second ODI.
Talking about the match, India were in full control of the match with Washington Sundar’s three scalps until Mahmudullah and last match’s hero Mehidy Hasan Miraj’s half-century knocks took the team to 188/6 in 44 overs (when this article is being written). Mahmudullah is playing on 57* off 84 balls, while Miraj is on 61* off 65. For India, Mohammed Siraj has scalped two wickets, Malik got one, and Sundar picked wickets two so far.
