MS Dhoni is a great figure in the field of cricket because of his successes as captain of Team India and Chennai Super Kings (CSK). He led India to World Cup titles (one T20 and one ODI).

And though he has retired from international cricket in 2020, he still features for CSK, and last year, he guided the team to five trophies. He underwent knee surgery after the IPL but has started preparing for IPL 2024.

Recently, a couple of pictures of him in Dubai vacationing with his family went viral around New Year 2024. Another video of Dhoni surfaced on social media, and it went viral for all the wrong reasons.

Dhoni could be seen at a party. But the most surprising thing is that he could be seen smoking a hookah. The video received mixed reactions from fans.

George Bailey says MS Dhoni sometimes likes to smoke hookah

There are reports that say MS Dhoni likes to smoke cigarettes. Former Australian head coach George Bailey once told cricket.com.au that Dhoni used to bond with the youngsters over hookah.

He likes smoking a bit of sheesha or a hookah. So, he would quite often set that up in his room, and it was a very much open-door policy. You would go in and quite often find a lot of younger players there. For India or a lot of other cricket teams, it can be hierarchical, but he certainly broke that down.
Bailey told Cricket.com.au.

Bailey added that he often found Dhoni late at night in his room chatting with everyone about the game. The former Australia head coach played with Dhoni during his stint with CSK.
