Former India captain Virat Kohli visited an ashram in Rishikesh with his wife Anushka Sharma. Fans on social media claimed that the ashram is Swami Dayanand Ji Maharaj’s samadhi at Swami Dayanand Ashram.

The pictures and videos of them have flooded the internet. Their daughter Vamika is not photographed with them. The couple is a popular figure in India and it’s no surprise that the fans asked them to sign autographs. He signed a few autographs but requested the fans not to record videos. The couple also organized a Bhandara (religious feast) for the saints in Rishikesh. Check a few of those viral clips here:

Earlier in January also, Kohli and Anushka, with their daughter Vamika visited Neem Karoli Baba‘s Ashram in Vrindavan, where they distributed blankets to the needy ones. They also spent time meditating at the ashram. Prior to this one, they offered prayers at Kanchi Dham in Nainital in November last year.

The 34-year-old was last seen on the field when India played three ODIs against New Zealand. He is not part of the three-match T20I series against New Zealand, so during this break, he is traveling with his wife.

He has been in fine form for the last couple of weeks. In the ODI series against Sri Lanka, he amassed 283 runs from three games, including two centuries, 113 in the first ODI, and an unbeaten 166 in the final. But he could not produce much against New Zealand, as all he added were eight, 11, and 36 runs in the three matches.

He will soon join the team for the practice session ahead of the highly-anticipated Gavaskar-Border Trophy, which is set o start on February 9 in Nagpur. The series will be crucial for both teams in determining the finalists of the World Test Championship (WTC) in June. After wrapping the Test series, the two teams will lock horns in the ODIs, starting March 17, in Mumbai.
