Virat Kohli registers first golden duck in T20Is
Had Virat Kohli scored six runs in the third match, he would have become the first Indian to 12000 T20 runs. But as that did not happen, he broke another record.

He broke Sachin Tendulkar‘s unwanted record of ducks in international cricket. That golden duck was Kohli’s 35th one across all the formats in 522 matches.
Zaheer Khan, the former India pacer, tops the list with 44 ducks as an Indian. But in international cricket, it’s former Sri Lankan cricketer Muttiah Muralitharan who holds the most ducks (59).
In the match, India chose to bat first and posted 212/4 courtesy of Rohit Sharma’s unbeaten century. Afghanistan tied the score and pushed the match into two super-overs. India won the second super over by 10 runs and won the series 3-0.
After a couple of off days, Kohli will join his teammates in Hyderabad on January 20 to train for the five-match Test series against England on home soil. The first match will be played at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on January 25th.
