Punjab Kings (PBKS) captain Shikhar Dhawan, pacer Arshdeep Singh, and all-rounder Harpreet Brar came together for a video wherein they paid tribute to late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. While Singh and Brar start the video, Dhawan joins after a while. The PBKS skipper is seen donning a saffron pagg while sporting a ‘Pathaani Kurta’ and pyjama.
The trio then vibes to a Punjabi track and does the famous ‘thaapi’ gesture where one pats on his thighs and points to the sky. Singh, Dhawan, and Brar also did a few steps of Bhangra.
The video of the PBKS trio paying tribute to Sidhu Moosewala went viral on social media and reached cricket fans. And as expected, fans started reacting to this video.
Will Shikhar Dhawan return to action against Lucknow?
While Shikhar Dhawan is rocking social media with his performances, the team needs their captain to be back on the field as soon as possible. Dhawan has missed Punjab’s last three games with a shoulder injury. Sam Curran has been leading PBKS in Dhawan’s absence. Although Curran has done a decent job leading PBKS, the team needs Dhawan as the batter.
With no Dhawan, Punjab have tried different opening pairs but nothing has worked so far. Hence, the southpaw is needed back in the setup. And much to the delight of Punjab and Dhawan’s fans, he is set to make a comeback when PBKS host Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Friday.
