During UP Warriorz’ campaign opener against Gujarat Giants, Grace Harris played a scintillating knock on Sunday. After that knock, she talked about how psyched she was to get out there and have the bat. While talking, she mentioned the burgers. “Don’t know where I’ll find some burgers in India. Maybe some butter chicken,” she had said.

She brought her 50 in just 25 balls, and even finished the match with a six, taking the total to 175/7. She and Sophie Ecclestone stitched a 70-run stand between them. She scored an unbeaten 59 runs, while Ecclestone scored an unbeaten 22.

Despite that knock, she was bench-warmed for the match against Delhi Capitals. Capitals were asked to bat first and with Meg Lanning’s 70, Jemimah Rodrigues’ 34*, and Jess Jonassen’s 42*, DC reached a monstrous 211/4. For the warriorz, only Tahlia McGrath displayed a fighting knock, scoring an unbeaten 90 off 50 balls. But that knock had gone in vain as the Capitals secured a comfortable 42-run victory.

UP Warriorz will next face Royal Challengers Bangalore on March 10 at the Brabourne Stadium. They are currently third on the points table with one victory and one defeat in the two matches they have played so far.
