Nicholas Pooran was one of the most sought-after players in the auction, with a base price of ₹2 crore. He was pursued by the Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants, but it was the LSG who eventually won the bidding war, securing the player for a whopping ₹16 crore.

Nicholas Pooran, a left-handed batsman, has achieved great success in the Indian Premier League (IPL), a feat that has become customary among West Indian players. Pooran has also competed in other tournaments, such as the Big Bash in Australia and the Abu Dhabi T10.
