Shreyas Iyer is currently with the Indian team in West Indies
In an interview with TOI’s Sportscast in 2021, Iyer revealed that he used to play both cricket and football while growing up. Iyer had often spoken about his watching Chelsea’s matches when he was young. He also has been seen wearing the club’s kit in the past.
Shreyas Iyer is currently with the Indian team in West Indies where the Men in Blue are locking-horns in the five-match T20I series.
Iyer’s bat still hasn’t roared in the series and because of this, he is facing a lot of criticism from the fans. In the previous matches, his score read 0, 10, and 24. But in the ODIs against the Windies, Iyer had scored two half-centuries in his three appearances.
India so far, is having an advantage of 2-1 in the series. The fourth match is scheduled to be played in Florida on Saturday (August 6).
