Yuvraj Singh appreciates Virat Kohli’s support
After fighting the battle against cancer, Yuvraj Singh tried making a comeback into the Indian side but struggled to hold a place in the XI. However, Singh recently appreciated the support he got from then-captain Virat Kohli during his struggle to make a comeback. He said “When I made my comeback in the Indian team, Virat Kohli supported me a lot during his captaincy. If Virat didn’t support me, my comeback would never have happened.”
Yuvraj last played for India in 2017. He played in the IPL after that but last featured in just 4 matches for the Mumbai Indians. He played an integral role in helping India win the 2011 ODI world cup. In 9 matches, he scored 362 runs including one hundred and four fifties; he also took 15 wickets at an economy of just 5.
