The police hence, stopped Shaw from proceeding without the e-pass. Shaw then claimed ignorance of law and subsequently applied for the same.

Prithvi Shaw allowed to go after quick application of e-pass gets accepted

According to reports from Hindustan Times Bangla, Prithvi Shaw did not have e-pass while travelling from Maharashtra to Goa and was stopped by the police at around 11:30 PM in the night. The car was halted for an hour or so during which Shaw quickly applied for an e-pass and had his temperature checked. He was subsequently let go by the police and continued on his way for the vacation to Goa.
Shaw is currently out of cricketing action for a while as he was not chosen in the squad for India’s World Test Championship (WTC) final. He is now likely to be seen in action next only in the tour of Sri Lanka that has been planned in July, featuring India’s non-Test players. It is noteworthy that Shaw had a terrific Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) season until it was suspended and hence, is expected to be the frontrunner to be chosen as the opener for the Sri Lanka tour.
