Riyan Parag, a young Assamese cricketer who enjoyed great success with the India U19 team and Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the last three seasons of the Indian Premier League, was acquired by the pink franchise for INR 3.80 crores in the ongoing IPL 2022 mega auction.
Riyan Parag was spotted hitting luscious sixes on 11th March in RR’s official Social Media account. He was warming up in style ahead of the start of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season. The 15th edition of the league will certainly require Riyan Parag to put in more hours than he previously was. IPL 2022 is just around the corner, and Riyan Parag looks ready and mentally prepared to face any challenges that come his way. He has played shots all around the field, hitting massive sixes, playing technical shots and showing his master skills in the RR net sessions.

Riyan Parag was purchased by Rajasthan Royals for INR 3.80 Crores
In the IPL 2019 auction, Parag was bought by Rajasthan Royals (RR) for his base price of INR 20 lakhs for his playing for the India U19 team in the 2018 Youth World Cup which was captained by Prithvi Shaw. A half-century at the age of 17 years and 175 days made him the youngest player to achieve that feat in the history of the Indian Premier League.
Parag has scored 339 runs in 23 IPL innings for Rajasthan Royals, hitting 29 fours and 12 sixes while scoring a strike rate of 118.50 and an average of 16.90. He has also picked up three wickets.
Parag also has an impressive domestic cricket record for Assam, scoring 659 runs in 13 First-Class games with one century and four half-centuries. He has 756 runs in 29 List-A games with 6 half-centuries and the best score of 86. While in 57 T20 games, he has 1019 runs with 8 half-centuries, the best score of 77* at an average of 24.85, and a strike rate of 126.27.
