Shaheen Afridi is one of the most skillful bowlers in the world. Breaking into the Pakistan team in 2019, he was known for his incredible pace and control over line and length. His ability to get movement of the ball is highly rated as well, with him being at his best with a new ball.
He debuted in 2018 for Pakistan in a T20I and made his debut in all formats within the next 8 months. In 2019 he played his maiden ODI World Cup and took 16 wickets in 5 innings. His best figures were 6/35 against Bangladesh.
In 2022 he suffered an injury that affected his pace. He was still lethal despite his pace reducing, as his expertise with seam and swing got him wickets. Afridi is now the Pakistan T20I captain, replacing Babar Azam who had resigned from the role after the ODI World Cup. In 2023 only, Afridi married Ansha Afridi in February.

Her uncles, Tariq and Ashfaq Afridi, used to be cricketers as well. Her great-grandfather was in the British Indian Army and Pakistan army as well.
