Former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi‘s daughter Ansha tied the knot with star pacer Shaheen Afridi on Friday (February 3) in a grand ceremony in Karachi. The couple got engaged last year.
Players like Babar Azam, Shadab Khan, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Naseem Shah, Mohammad Hafeez, and Fakhar Zaman were also spotted, along with others. Mohammad Rizwan, who couldn’t attend the wedding, wished the couple on social media and so did Haris Rauf. Recently, two Pakistan players got married- Shan Masood with Nische Khan, and Shadab Khan who did not disclose his wife’s name due to privacy.
Shahid Afridi announced the wedding last year. A day after the wedding, he took to Twitter to congratulate the couple.
“Daughter is the most beautiful flower of your garden because they blossom with great blessing. A daughter is someone you laugh with, dream with, and love with all your heart. As parent, I have my daughter in Nikkah to @iShaneenAfridi, congratulations to the two of them,” Shahid tweeted a day after the wedding.
Social media is flooded with pictures of their marriage with congratulatory captions:

Shaheen Afridi is out of action due to knee injury
Meanwhile, the tall spearhead, that is Shaheen, is out of action due to a knee injury. He sustained the same during the T20 World Cup last year.
After providing his services to his team throughout the tournament, the injury troubled him during the all-important final against England where Pakistan failed to defend 138.
He is now set to make his comeback to the Pakistan Super League (PSL) this February. The board needs to manage his workload now that he is recovering. Last year, he played in almost every series.
“There were times when I wanted to give up. I was working on only one muscle and it was not improving. Often during the rehabilitation sessions, I used to say to myself ‘this is enough, I cannot do this anymore’. But then I used to watch my bowling on YouTube and see how well I had done and that motivated me and I told myself ‘to push a little more‘,” Shaheed said on YouTube on his frustration of missing cricket due to injury.
Shaheen is Pakistan’s of the key bowlers and he has played impactful roles for his team with the new ball. The 22-year-old has so played 25 Tests, 32 ODIs, and 47 T20Is since making his debut in 2018 and already has bagged 219 international wickets.
