T20 World Cup 2021: Zomato hilariously trolls Pakistan Cricket ahead of much-anticipated match against India
Momin Saqib’s video taking a jab at Pak team went viral during 2019 WC
The two Asian giants and arch-rivals – India and Pakistan are set to face each other in match 4 of the Super 12 stage in the ongoing 2021 T20 World Cup. The high-voltage clash is scheduled to take place on October 24 from 7:30 PM (IST) onwards at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai.
The fans and supporters of both sides are super excited ahead of this game as an Indo-Pak encounter is taking place after a gap of two years. The two teams last played during the 2019 World Cup in England where Virat Kohli’s men registered a one-sided win of 89 runs (DLS method).
Meanwhile, the popular food delivery company – Zomato trolled the Pakistan cricket team. The ‘Gen Z’ company used the ‘Burger, Pizze’ phrase from Momin Saqib’s bone-tickling video which went viral after Pakistan 2019 WC defeat against India.
Here’s the funny video of Pakistan’s supporter:
Zomato tweeted with a punny wink: “Dear @TheRealPCB, in case you’re looking for ?????? or ????? tonight, we’re just a DM away.”
India’s unbeaten record against Pakistan in World Cup matches
Notably, the Pakistani team is yet to beat the ‘Men in Blue’ in a World Cup game as the latter hold the overall record of 11-0. The Indians have won all six matches in the 50-over WC and all five games in the 20-over ICC tournaments. They even beat their neighbouring country in the finale of the inaugural edition of the ICC World T20 back in 2007 under the leadership of MS Dhoni.
After two wins at the 2007 WC, India registered victories at the 2012, 2014, and 2016 editions of the 20-over ICC event. The Indian cricket team’s fans will be hoping this scoreline to widen up to 6-0 while the across-border supporters are wishing for Pakistan’s maiden victory against India at the World Cups.
