England all-rounder Ben Stokes gave an unexpected reply to a presenter’s question after their win against Pakistan in the finals of the T20 World Cup on Sunday (November 13) at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). The reply left everyone thinking again about the answer but with a dirty mind.

The presenter asked a double-meaning question as he asked, “You like taking it to the deep, don’t you?.” To which, Stokes, with a quirky smile said: “Umm Careful”. Following his reply, everyone shared a good laugh together. The video is doing the rounds on the internet.

England hoping Ben Stokes to come out of retirement in ODIs

The English all-rounder announced his decision to retire from the ODI format, citing that his body wasn’t able to keep up across all formats. He wanted to focus on Test cricket after getting the captaincy and also participate in T20 cricket to keep himself fit for the most in-demand format.

However, with the 2023 ODI World Cup approaching, the three Lions are hoping Stokes can take back his retirement from ODIs. He played a vital role in England’s 2019 World Cup win, especially in the finals. Once again, he could turn out to be the key difference maker for them.

It remains to be seen how the 31-year-old will respond to the requests. For now, he will be focusing on Test cricket and preparing the side to win the Ashes in Australia next year. Reportedly, he is also keen to participate in the mini-auction for IPL 2023. He missed last season to remain fit for the summer schedule.
