WATCH: Ishan Kishan walks out to bat with two right hand gloves; leaves commentators in splits

Indian wicketkeeper batter Ishan Kishan made a once-in-a-lifetime mistake in the second T20I against New Zealand on Sunday (November 20). While coming out to bat, he carried two right-handed gloves by mistake. However, he realized his mistake before crossing the rope.

Following that, he signaled to the dressing room and Shardul Thakur came running to give him the correct pair of gloves. The commentators couldn’t help but laugh out loud. Ravi Shastri even said that the left-handed batter might have picked up one glove from Shubman Gill’s set.

The new opening pair of Ishan Kishan and Rishabh Pant failed miserably to provide a flying start. Pant lost his wicket in the sixth over after scoring just 6 off 13 balls. Even Kishan couldn’t bat for long as he departed in the tenth over, scoring 36 off 31 deliveries.

The ICC No.1 ranked T20I batter Suryakumar Yadav raised his stock once again by smashing a thundering hundred. He was the lone warrior in the Indian batting line-up. He himself smashed 111 runs off just 51 balls, out of the Men in Blue’s total score of 191 at the end of 20 overs.

In reply, the home side couldn’t give a proper fight. Although skipper Kane Williamson scored a fifty, the effort was far from changing anything for his side. New Zealand were bowled out for 126, part-time bowler Deepak Hooda was the stand-out performer as he picked up four wickets.
