Jos Buttler was caught having fun with all-rounder Cameron Green during the first ODI between Australia and England on Thursday (November 17). The English skipper was caught passing a funny comment from behind the wickets when Cameron came to bat in the middle.
Buttler said: “Big auction coming up,” referring to the mini-auction for IPL 2023 that is scheduled to take place in Kochi on December 23. The Australian cricketer is likely to take part in the auction and will probably go for bunkers. The demand for a quality all-rounder is always high in the market.
Undoubtedly, Green’s striking ability with the bat and bowling contributions can add a lot of value to any side. Hence, the franchises will engage in a bidding war to pen down his services. Even skipper Pat Cummins has already that the national side won’t stop him from participating in the cash-rich league.

Will England bounce back?
Within a week after lifting the T20 World Cup at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), England went on to lose against home side Australia in an ODI fixture. Dawid Malan, who missed the business end of the showpiece event due to an injury, made a sounding return by smashing a century.
However, his efforts weren’t fruitful as the Baggy Greens chased down the target of 288 with ease. David Warner and Travis Head gave a flying start before Steve Smith took hold of the match. He remained unbeaten on 80 to show why he is still a valuable asset for this side.
The two giants will once again lock horns on Saturday (November 19) at Sydney Cricket Ground. While Australia will be eyeing to seal the series, the Three Lions will leave no stone unturned to level it and then battle it out on the final day. After all, they would want to leave the country on a high note.
