The Indian cricket team players are often known to play football as a part of their training routine. Prior to matches, in order to undertake light training, players are often seen playing a quick game of football or futsal. Therefore, it is no surprise that plenty of Indian cricketers are quite adept at football.
One such cricketer who can impress with his football skills is Indian captain Virat Kohli. The 32-year-old is one of the Indian Super League (ISL) clubs FC Goa‘s co-owner. He has also showcased his football skills previously in exhibition matches and while training for the Indian cricket team. Today, he came up with another evidence of his football skills although he hilariously trolled himself with his caption as well.

Kohli took to Twitter today to post a video of himself kicking a football onto the crossbar at a training ground. He captioned it, “Accidental crossbar challenge” along with a laughing emoji. The video has now gone viral on social media with fans appreciating Kohli’s football skills as well as his humourous caption which trolled himself.
With regard to cricketing action, Virat Kohli will be seen next in the final of the World Test Championship (WTC) on June 18 against New Zealand at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton. After the match, there will be a five-match series against England in August followed by the reported resumption of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) which was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After that, it will be the ICC T20 World Cup in October.
It has been over a year and a half since Virat Kohli struck his previous century and the Indian skipper would want to get back to his vintage century-hitting form in quick time. He has not been below-par by any means since his last century, but the high standards he had set for himself have not been matched.
