De Villiers, also known by Mr 360, is a 360-degree batsman in literal terms. The batsman can smash any ball anywhere by any bowler. AB has a legacy of his own and it will be difficult for any player to ever go past the former Proteas skipper. 

The 37-year-old also rules the number charts. AB has represented South Africa in a whopping 228 One Day Internationals and 78 T20 Internationals scoring 9577 and 1672 runs at an average of 53.5 and 26.1. The right-hander weaved his magic in the purest format of the game too. 

De Villiers played a total of 114 games in the white jersey and ended up with 8765 runs at an average of 50.7 and a strike rate of 54.5. Though the former South Africa captain announced his retirement from international cricket in 2018, he continues to be a lynchpin in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The 37-year-old is a household name in India as he is a vital part of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). AB has been the backbone of the Bangalore outfit along with the skipper Virat Kohli. AB’s wife Danielle is an entrepreneur based in South Africa. She also loves to indulge in social work and help the underprivileged. The batting maestro met his wife for the first time during a gathering in 2007. Though both AB and Danielle felt some attraction towards each other, it was only after a year that the two started talking with each other.

ADB and Danielle dated each other for five years. It was in 2012 that the batsman popped the question in front of the Taj Mahal while the couple got married in 2013. They are now parents to three children namely Abraham de Villiers, John Richard de Villiers, and Yente de Villiers.
