Bowling all-rounder Harshal Patel is an active name in India’s domestic circuit. The seamer kickstarted his journey in the gentlemen’s game by playing age-group matches with his home state Gujarat. However, ignorance and politics in the Gujarat set-up forced Harshal to relocate.

Patel made Haryana his new adobe and he is now the skipper of the Haryana cricket team in the domestic circuit. The 30-year-old has so featured in 64 List A games and 105 T20 matches picking 80 and 117 wickets respectively at an economy rate of 5.33 and 7.97. The right-hander has also played 64 First-class matches scalping a whopping 226 wickets at an average of 23.6.

Coming to the right-hander’s career in the Indian Premier League, Harshal Patel’s first contract came from Mumbai Indians. The seamer didn’t get a chance to play in Mumbai and his IPL debut came in 2012 only when he was roped by Royal Challengers Bangalore. 

Following this, the Sanand-born played for Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals). The 30-year-old was again picked by RCB before IPL 2021. Making a comeback in the Red jersey has proved to be a turning point in the bowling all-rounder’s career. Harshal was simply phenomenal during the India leg of the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Harshal played a big role in RCB’s success in the first half of the IPL 2021 as he bamboozled the opposition batters with his seam and swing. The 30-year-old is now expected to weave the same magic with the ball in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to knock at the door of the Indian cricket team.

The right-hander has so far featured in 57 IPL matches, scalping 65 wickets at an economy rate of 8.76 and an average of 25.3. Talking about Harshal Patel’s personal life, you might be surprised to know that the seamer is still single. Reports suggest that right now the Indian all-rounder isn’t looking for a relationship as his entire focus is on building his professional career.
