India’s pace sensation Mohammed Shami is a renowned name in the Indian cricket fraternity. The seamer has earned a special place for himself by steering India to victory on a number of occasions owing to his assaults with the ball. What makes Shami special is his pace, accuracy, consistency, and ability to move the ball both ways.

Mohammed Shami’s maiden appearance for the Indian team came in January 2013. However, it is only in the recent past that the seamer has earned the deserved respect and appreciation for his contribution to the Indian cricket team. In his cricket career of almost a decade, the 32-year-old has represented India in 54 Test matches picking 195 wickets at an economy rate of 3.29 and an average of 27.

He has also featured in 79 One Day Internationals and 12 T20 Internationals scalping 148 and 12 wickets respectively at an economy rate of 5.62 and 9.80. Owing to his exploits with the ball, Shami has established himself as a mainstay of the Indian team and he is considered as the pillar of the Indian bowling unit alongside Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

While Mohammed Shami is enjoying a dream ride on the professional front, everything is not right in his personal life. Shami got married to actor and model Hasin Jahan in 2014. Everything was going right for the couple as they welcomed their first child in the form of daughter Aariah Shami in July 2015.

However, the cricketers’ life hit rock-bottom when his wife Hasin put the allegations of domestic violence and adultery on Shami and his family. Though the couple is now divorced, the court case is still going on. As of now, the cricketer’s daughter stays with her mother.
