India’s right-handed batsman Robin Uthappa holds the reputation of being one of the few Indian players who have featured in all the seasons of the Indian Premier League. Uthappa’s first stint in the Indian Premier League came for Mumbai Indians in 2008.

However, after a disappointing run, the right-hander featured for Royal Challengers Bangalore. Meanwhile, it was IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders who utilized Robin Uthappa properly and made him a household name in the T20 extravaganza. Over the years, the batsman has essayed a lot of roles for different IPL franchises; finisher, opening batsman, or middle-order batter.

In 182 IPL innings, the 35-year-old has scored 4607 runs at an average of 27.9 and strike rate of 129. The Karnataka-born is currently plying his trade for Chennai Super Kings. However, the batsman is yet to make his debut in IPL in the yellow jersey.

Though Uthappa is experiencing a bitter-sweet journey in the Indian T20 league, he is a complete family man and is happily married to Sheethal Goutham.

Robin Uthappa’s wife Sheethal is a former Indian tennis player. Sheethal is a renowned name in the Indian tennis fraternity as she has represented the county in a lot of international competitions. The star decided to bid adieu to her passion at the age of 33. Goutham is now a homemaker and performs the duty of supporting her husband in his cricket ventures.

Sheethal and Robin met each other for the first time in their college and their friendship soon blossomed into love. The two initially bonded over their love for fitness and sports. The adorable couple entered marital bliss while following the Christian traditions on 3 March 2016. Sheethal and Robin embrace parenthood in 2017 as they welcomed a baby boy.
