Cristiano Ronaldo is the embodiment of ‘aging like fine wine’. The Portuguese superstar is in top form this season, and has found it difficult not to score in every single game that he features in for Al-Nassr. A quick look at his unbelievable numbers for the season show that he’s managed to rack up 9 goals and 2 assists in 10 games played in all competitions. Aged 39, fans argue that there isn’t another name in football that can replicate his exploits.

Ronaldo most recently took to the pitch against Qatari side Al-Rayyan, as the men in yellow pulled off a 2-1 win. Ronaldo was surprisingly wasteful with the majority of his chances, although his brilliant left-footed finish quickly made the crowd forget his errors. The No.7 uncharacteristically missed two golden opportunities to give his side the lead, once from a first-time volley and the other from an open header.

His goal however, helped Al-Nassr double their lead and ensure that the 87th minute strike by their opponents didn’t come in the way of claiming their first win in the AFC Champions League.

Ronaldo’s goal came in the 76th minute, when he found the top left corner from a difficult angle, that too with a first-time finish with his weaker foot.

Cristiano Ronaldo emotionally dedicates goal to late father after 2-1 win for Al-Nassr

Cristiano Ronaldo changed up his iconic ‘SIUUU’ celebration on Monday night as he celebrated his goal against Al-Rayyan. The No.7 earnestly pointed both hands to the skies as he offered tribute to his late father. Following the game, the forward spoke to the press and revealed what really made him do the same.

Several years later, the Portuguese No.7 has created a legacy for himself that will undoubtedly withstand the test of time. An all-time great, the Real Madrid and United legend’s story and his inspirational rise to the top will forever be credited to his relentless determination and of course, the support of his father.
