Cristiano Ronaldo to Barcelona

Cristiano Ronaldo was the target of Mundo Deportivo as Spain celebrated their Día de Los Santos Inocentes on 28th December in Spain. Which is a Spanish version of April fools day.

Mundo Deportivo made a hilarious remark and wrote that Cristiano Ronaldo has offered himself to his old arch-nemesis Barcelona. They also said that He even reached out personally to former rivals Gerard Pique and Xavi to try and force a deal.

The ‘Inocentes’ attempt couldn’t have found a better time after a disappointing performance from Cristiano Ronaldo against Newcastle United.

The writers at Mundo Deportivo even joked that Gerard Pique had suggested the house of Lionel Messi in Gava as a place for Ronaldo to rent, as long as he does not take any of Lionel Messi’s seven Ballon d’Ors.

The Spanish media outlet also suggests that Ronaldo will put on the No.17 shirt and call him ‘CR17’. The joke was pretty much clear when they mentioned that Ronaldo is excited to be a part of the Europa League representing Barcelona. This would avoid potential embarrassment against Messi and PSG in the Champions League and it would also be a chance to challenge for a trophy that Ronaldo has never won in his career.
