Cristiano Ronaldo sits at the very top in terms of scoring goals. The Portuguese superstar is currently on 899 goals after converting a sublime free-kick against Al-Fayha on Tuesday. The No.7 recently claimed in an interview that the wants to first hit 900 goals before going on to make it 1000. Surprisingly, the player also said that he wants his goals on video so that he can ‘prove’ them as well.

Speaking to former Manchester United star Rio Ferdinand, Cristiano Ronaldo opened up about his goals in the ‘final’ stretch of his career. After making it clear that he wants to hang up his boots at Al-Nassr, a recent social media post stated that he’s ‘just getting started’.

With the Champions League set to inaugurate its first edition with the new format, UEFA announced that it plans to honor Cristiano Ronaldo for his incredible journey in the competition. From winning the competition an unbelievable five times to scoring the most goals in the same, Ronaldo is by far the ‘most’ successful player to have been part of the Champions League.

UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin praised the forward and named him as one of the brightest stars in the constellation that is UEFA. Ronaldo has scored a record 140 goals from 183 appearances for Porto, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus. Recently, former United teammate Rio Ferdinand revealed that the No.7 is still driven and motivated to do his best at the age of 39.

Ferdinand recalled on Ronaldo’s YouTube channel how the latter used to text him and say that he’d have done better if he was placed in the same situation. While age may have begun to catch up with the forward, it is clear that Ronaldo has no plans to hang up his boots soon.
